Dr. Melissa Goldstein received her M.D. from Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, New York, in May 1999. After completing her pediatric residency at The New York Presbyterian -Weill Cornell Medical Center in June 2002, Dr. Goldstein moved to Russia to work as a general pediatrician to the local Muscovite, expatriate and diplomatic community in Moscow. Dr. Goldstein then went on to work at International Pediatric Health Services in New York City. In this office, Dr. Goldstein provided general pediatric care for children adopted from abroad. The practice focuses on health issues specific to previously orphaned children. Dr. Goldstein helped families through the process of adoption, including pre-adoption evaluations to determine the health of orphans and preparation for and guidance of families through the challenging process of adopting a child in a foreign land (travel medications and vaccines, new parent coaching, and cultural obstacles). Dr. Goldstein is now with Carnegie Hill Pediatrics. In this practice, Dr. Goldstein works as a general pediatrician with a specialty in adopted children. She helps families through all of the steps of the exciting, but challenging, endeavor of adopting a child domestically and internationally. | |
